Terms of use

Demo accounts

The demo accounts are the accounts listed, with their passwords, on the sign-in page of the Roux hosted service. They open a synthetic sample workspace of retail, manufacturing, SaaS, and IoT data. The figures are fictitious. Do not treat them as customer facts, professional advice, a benchmark, or a basis for a medical, clinical, scientific, legal, financial, safety, or regulatory decision.

Demo accounts can view the sample dashboards. A demo account that allows editing can change the data model, charts and dashboards in the browser and, if it also allows exporting, export them to files. Nothing a demo account changes is saved by the service. Demo accounts cannot upload data, publish, reach another workspace, or administer users. A demo session ends after 10 minutes, or after 5 minutes without activity. The demo accounts, their passwords, and the sample workspace may be changed, reset, rate-limited, or withdrawn.

Acceptable use

You may use the website and the demo accounts for ordinary evaluation. You must not attempt to bypass access controls or limits, discover or use credentials that were not given to you, use administrative functions you have not been granted, interfere with availability, upload or inject content, scrape at a disruptive rate, probe another organization's workspace, attempt to extract a secret or key, distribute malware, or use the website or the hosted service unlawfully. Send security reports to ubnandakumar@gmail.com, and do not test the website or the hosted service without our written permission.

Ownership, licensing, and third parties

Roux software, product content, marks, and website materials remain the property of their applicable owner, including UB Nandakumar, except for identified third-party components. Using the website and the demo accounts does not transfer ownership or grant a production or redistribution license. Any evaluation, commercial use, source delivery, hosting, support, acquisition, or other transaction requires separate written terms.

The License page sets out how Roux is licensed and links the complete third-party notices and the files used to verify them. Third-party software and services remain subject to their own licenses and terms.

Roux, customer, and infrastructure responsibilities

For the demo accounts, UB Nandakumar is responsible for approving the synthetic content, configuring access and retention controls, and operating the website and the sign-in page. Hosting, DNS, certificate, and email providers operate their own services under their terms.

Where a customer runs Roux on its own infrastructure, the customer and its appointed operators remain responsible for lawful data collection and use, data quality, user administration, deployment configuration, backups and recovery, infrastructure security, retention, notices, and validation for the intended use unless a signed agreement expressly assigns a responsibility elsewhere. Roux does not assume those out-of-scope duties merely because the software can process or display the customer's data.

Availability and outputs

The website, the demo accounts, and any access to the hosted service under these terms are provided on an evaluation, as-available basis. They may contain defects or experience interruption, and no uninterrupted availability, feature continuity, fitness for a particular purpose, regulatory status, or error-free analytical result is promised here. Users must independently review source data, definitions, filters, formulas, rounding, permissions, and outputs before relying on them.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, UB Nandakumar is not responsible under these terms for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from use of, inability to use, or reliance on the website, the demo accounts, or any access to the hosted service under these terms. Nothing here excludes a responsibility or remedy that applicable law does not permit the parties to exclude.

Privacy, changes, and termination

The privacy notice explains the website, sign-in, logging, provider, and retention boundaries. We may restrict or end access when needed to protect the website or the hosted service, investigate misuse, comply with law, or maintain the website and the demo accounts. Material changes to these terms are dated and published here before they take effect; a separate signed agreement controls if it expressly conflicts with these terms.
